The Middleton Public Library is looking for some playmates! If you enjoy hearing silly stories and songs with your favorite children’s librarians while also trying out some fun interactive activities, then maybe you’re just the right person to join us for a playdate at the Greenway Station Farmers’ Market on June 1st!

Who knows what awesome books and songs you’ll hear Miss Lori share at the 10am storytime, or what cool activity Olson Toon Landscaping will offer after storytime? Stop by to find out!

Make sure to bring your library card with you. There will be lots of children’s books available for checkout. So if you’re looking for the latest Pete the Cat or Elephant & Piggy book, you just might be able to borrow it at this event!

Don’t forget there’s so much you can enjoy at the Middleton Public Library. Whatever you’re looking for: books, movies, audio books, e-books, magazines, video games, music CDs, etc., you’ll find it here! You’ll also find Playaway Launchpads, learning tablets for children which are preloaded with a variety of apps on subjects such as wild animals, counting, and dinosaurs. Our “Discovery Backpacks” contain items such as an American Girl Doll. Maybe you’ll want to borrow a “Discovery Kit” filled with supplies to learn and try out new activities such as pasta making, juggling, or bongo drumming.

The “Build a Better World” Summer Reading Program starts soon! Stop by the Middleton Public Library on or after Friday, June 9 to pick up a reading log which will get you on your way to winning free books and awesome prizes from local businesses!

Families can escape the summer heat in our drop-in “Play & Learn” space on the Main Level of the Middleton Public Library. Explore an assortment of toys allowing children to develop their cognitive, physical, social, and emotional skills. Kids can also visit the Children’s Area to use computers loaded with a variety of fun and educational games. No library card is needed for the “Play & Learn” space or the computers!

Check out the library’s monthly event calendar to learn more about the variety of free events happening this summer at the Middleton Public Library! In addition to weekly storytimes, you’ll also find concerts, craft events, technology programs, plus much, much, more, all offered at no cost thanks to generous funding from the Friends of the Middleton Public Library.

So mark your calendar and bring your little sprouts to the Greenway Station Farmers’ Market on Thursday, June 1 from 8-1pm for a fun, interactive playdate!
